Weekly Photo Challenge: Treasure

My Treasure Box

Weekly Photo Challenge: Treasure

I may not possess much in the way of material “treasure”, wealth or riches in the form of money or jewels or gold and silver. But when I think about the things that I treasure most, my family, my friends, my life, my memories, I realize that I am truly blessed with riches that are much more valuable than monetary wealth. Like many people, I have some little things that I treasure as well, things that were gifts from loved ones or have sentimental meaning for one reason or another. I have a little wooden box that my daughter painted and gave me for my birthday years ago. In this “treasure box” I keep some of these little mementos that have special meaning to me. A necklace that my husband gave me, a crystal from my sister, my father’s Army Technical Sergeant pin from WWII, an abalone bracelet that I received as a gift many years ago, one of the last letters that my mother wrote to me…these are my treasures.

About joliepetitemaison

"In the end, it’s not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away" Shing Xiong. My quest is my passion to find beauty in all things. To remember to try to live in the moment, to really “see” and hopefully to capture the beauty that surrounds us in everyday life. I aspire to transcend traditional ideas and to creatively through my photographs express my own unique point of view.
