Estate Sale Finds

hutch 3 hutch 2

I found this hutch at the semi-annual parking lot sale at Auctions Neapolitan in Naples. I love these sales which are an eclectic collection of leftovers from auctions and estate sales. After the first couple of hours I can usually make an offer that is considerably less than the asking price. I got this for half price! A few coats of Annie Sloan chalk paint in “Pure White” and…Voila!

I found this hutch at an estate sale. After a few coats of Annie Sloan chalk paint in "Pure White"...Voila!

Vintage wrought iron table and chair. Although I liked these in their original rusted condition I decided to spray paint them with Rustoleum "Ultra Cover White Primer" in order to keep them from rusting further. The matte finish of the primer allowed the lines and imperfections to show through the paint keeping the vintage look.

I also found this vintage wrought iron table and chair at the previous year’s sale. These beauties weren’t even priced for the sale, they were on the grass behind other items and I just made a really low ball offer which was accepted, yay! Although I liked these in their original rusted condition after I had them for a while I decided to spray paint them with Rustoleum “Ultra Cover White Primer” in order to keep them from rusting further. The matte finish of the primer allowed the lines and imperfections to show through the paint keeping the vintage look.

Another great find was this vintage window frame planter. Some things are just perfect “as is”! Just add flowers…
